BlogOrlando 2007

Coming out of the weekend the most often asked question was, "Will there be a BlogOrlando 2007?" At this moment, yes. Of course that could change if something drastic happens, but for now I'll look to plan a similar event in September of next year.

Hopefully we can build on the momentum and great attendance we had this past weekend. How about you? Are you up for BlogOrlando 2007? What types of sessions should we include? Do you like the one-day format of if we had the interest would you go two days? How about the venue, did you like Rollins?

Definitely up for 2007.

Two days would be good. I think the tools session could have gone a half day this year with all the tools and questions. Most of the sessions we had this year will probably be just as relevant next year and probably change enough to warrant talking about again.

How about adding a "new to blogging" session as the first session to a split track? I think most of the newbies were overwhelmed with acronym soup and terminology in some of the sessions. Giving them as much of the background as possible would probably help them get more out of it.

Rollins was good once I figured out where the coffee was :-)

Double days definitely. I think it would be cool with Friday & Saturday Conference, and maybe a park on Sunday.

Or maybe even backwards. I found it great to be able to meet up with people at MK. I think if we got time to know each other before hand, some people would open up to discussion.

I agree with the others. Two days might be nicer. I think "Tools" could have been longer since there were so many questions. I would also like to see a session on Travel Blogs and an advanced session on CSS or Wordpress templates or something to do with customization. As for now, count me in though. I am also going to be catching up with all on some plans for a possible BlogSavannah in early 2007!

What are the chances of a small BlogOrlando "I was there" bar for our blogs? I would hate to just discard the art. Thanks.

Count me in.... Rollins was nice.

The whole event was excellent. As for next year I'll be sure to be there. About suggested sessions, what about 'professional blogging' or blogging as a careerpath, not just something we do as part of our corporate responsibilities.

Anyhow all in all the conference rocked.

I wouldnt change a thing. Perfect venue, loved Rollins.
It was kinda nice not to have to commit to a two-day conference, it gave me more time to visit my Orlando contacts. That said, I would be OK with two days.

Great job with the first BlogOrlando Josh and everyone.

Wow. September '07 seems so far off in Blog years. Does anyone know if there is some sort of similar event in the spring? Maybe not blog specific, but with the same social media feel?

As for BlogOrlando '07, Rollins was a great host, two days would be fine (or maybe just 1.5 days). Friday and Saturday with a Sunday at DisneyWorld is good too.

I had no idea there were so many people in Florida who were involved in PR and blogging. But in some way we're all PR for our own projects and ourselves.

Rollins was beautiful. I agree about a newbie track for beginner folks. I also think that a nominal charge - maybe 10 bucks - would cut down on people flaking out at the last minute and also provide enough $$ for a meet and greet mingler the night before or coffee the morning of.

Just found this - i'd be up to attend Blog Orlando 2007! I wish I had known about the 2006 event!

Bummer! I didn't know about this and would have come! Ugh.

I certainly want to know about the 2007 event.
